The Bird in Berlin is an American Steakhouse / Burger Bar with the best burgers in town. It is a famous expat haunt filled with Brits, Americans and even the Germans cannot complain. When I first arrived in Berlin this place 
was recommended to me and I was not disappointed and have since been back many times. Last Christmas we had our work office dinner at The Bird and everyone absolutely loved it – made all the better with The Bird’s new veggie burger. There is something for everyone.
The burgers are thick, juicy and good quality beef. If you have been living in Germany for a while then The Bird is worth a visit for some decent beef alone. There is also a wide choice of burgers ranging from a basic ghetto cheese burger to Da Birdhouse Burger. The burgers are served in ‘English Muffins’ which even the most burger loving Americans do not seem to mind and the juice is dripping off the meat. The steaks are amazing, ordered to the weight you prefer and all dishes are served with the crispy homemade chips. I have not yet tried one of their starters but I have been told these will not disappoint.
Just as important is the service. I have always received the best service and makes an evening all the more enjoyable.
I am warning you though, you will be stuffed! I wouldn’t have the room for a starter and I am still full the next day. The portions are generous and you might want to limit your visit to this place every now and then as it is not the most healthy of foods. But who said burgers and chips are healthy? If you are going to eat it then do it properly and The Bird is just the place to do so.
