It’s happened – I am officially more of a fan of the white asparagus than the green kind. There was me thinking that my love for bread and salami in the morning for breakfast, constant grilling of sausages in the summer months and my love for anything pickled had made me continental enough. But now I have joined the rest of Europe and fully welcoming the delicious spears of white asparagus. Not that I don’t enjoy green asparagus….

A go to pasta dish is pretty much a staple part of our midweek meal plans! It can be thrown together in minutes and requires mininal effort. I also love pasta due to how versatile it is as you can add any vegetables, sauce, meat, fish or nuts and really mix it up a bit. One of my favourite quick meals is a Leek and Spinach Spaghetti Carbonara. There is something so comforting about sitting down with a bowl of this classic dish….
