This is perfect to have with any kind of curry and especially a hot curry. It is often served as a dip with pappadums, however is also great as a cooling accompaniment to a spicy curry. I always make this to go with my easy Curry. …

Easy Does It: Spring/ Summer Pasta
I am still recovering from a busy few weeks and so dinner last night was something quick and easy. This is one of my favourite meals to make during the week. Not only is it easy to make but it is also light and refreshing. You can add more or less what you want to this dish and is a great way to use up any leftovers in your fridge. You do not have to use all my ingredients listed below. …
Chicken Salad Wraps
I have eaten way too much this past week. With it being my birthday and then having family visit over Easter I have eaten out every night for about a week. I do not want to see any more red meat or German food for a while and so last night I made some chicken salad wraps. I always make this after a weekend of over indulging and lived off this for about a week after Christmas. It is also a perfect summer time meal so once it gets hot and sunny be sure to make this one night after work. …
Home Comforts: Fish and Chips with a Tartar Sauce
After my recent experiment with German cooking I have decided to bring a little bit of Britain into my Berlin flat. Fish and chips! Best enjoyed on Brighton beach, wrapped in newspaper on a British summers day with windswept hair and an umbrella. It is really difficult to find decent fish in Germany and I am afraid that this will be my last fish recipe for a while. I say that now… But this dish went down well in my flat as it brought a little bit of home to my kitchen. …
Freshly Made Salsa
I have my left over chili from last night and as it is such a lovely evening I have made a quick salsa. For all those cooking in Germany please make sure to buy your crushed chilis from an Asian store. German supermarkets sell chili powder and crushed chilis but they are not hot at all. Also, don’t be shy in adding the crushed chilis to your salsa. We are not making a tomato sauce and a salsa is meant to be hot!
Perfect with nachos or chili con carne. …
I Have That Summer Feeling: Guacamole
It feels like summer is on it’s way. I have my Kate Middleton inspired Mac and big sunglasses on and I no longer have to be crammed onto the tram as I can walk home from work in the sunshine. I stopped by the fruit and veg store on my way home today and picked up 2 fresh avocados. Guacamole is easy to make and it made my chili dish that little bit more exciting! I have kept my guacamole simple so that in the future all you need to do is pick up some avocados on your way home and you will probably have everything else in your kitchen. …
A Bit of Fusion: Bombay Potatoes and Falafel
Having found chickpeas in Berlin I decided to make some homemade falafel. Falafel in Berlin is actually pretty good and there are plenty of places to enjoy this. Every street has somewhere that does falafel and especially on a warm summers evening it proves to be the popular choice of food. Yet making your own falafel is also quick and easy. I mix mine up a bit with some bombay potatoes. A lot of British food is all about fusion cuisine and this is something that I love to experiment with. …
