I always have some tins of tuna in the cupboard. They are perfect for those last minute dinners or if you are cooking for one. If I am cooking for just myself and don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen then I will often make some tuna and sweetcorn to stuff inside a baked potato. It did however take me some time to start eating tins of tuna again after finishing University. While I don’t actually find tins of tuna particularly cheap to buy, for some reason this was more or less all I ate as a student. When it comes to food, autumn has to be my favourite time of the year! From the start of the root veg creeping into the supermarkets, juicy pumpkins lined up ready to be turned into a delicious soup or sweet yet nutty butternut squash to make the perfect warming salad , to the run up to Thanksgiving, this time of the year is about celebrating good food and making the most of those cosy evenings. This Italian Sausage and Sun-Dried Tomato Spaghetti is such an indulgent and comforting dish. It is on the table in less than 20 mins and is a joy to eat. I have been making more effort to visit local delis to pick up fresh and good quality produce. It is so easy to get stuck in the trap of trying to get everything from the one, large supermarket that sometimes we forget to take advantage of all the wonderful local stores out there. I am fortunate to live in central Berlin where there is no shortage of local delis and specialised supermarkets….

Happy New Year! I had every intention of kick starting the new year with some kind of clean eating, raw blog post. Then I realised that this is exactly what this blog is not meant to be about. Over the Christmas period I had a bit more time on my hands and caught up on a lot of blog reading and also came across many new and interesting food bloggers.
