Ok so food poisoning is a little drastic but it could have easily been the case! My boyfriend and I decided to check out a new restaurant for Valentine’s Day. I am not going to name the restaurant but it was a fondue style place and we had been meaning to try it out for a while now. Being really hungry and looking forward to this all day we decided to order the mixed meat and fish menu. Our plates turned up with the meat, potatoes and salad all laid out nicely on a plate with some wonderful sauces. We also had the fondue to cook the meat ourselves which is meant to be a delicious way to cook your meat. Sound’s great? That’s exactly what I thought until I started to tuck in and realised that it was raw chicken lying underneath my potatoes (which were already cooked) and my olive salad. Maybe I missed this in translation but whatever the case it is just weird! Raw chicken on your plate, sliding about underneath your potatoes, salad and garlic bread. Needless to say, it was a strange experience! …
Introduction
For a while now I have been keeping a scrap book of recipes and tweeting about book reviews. My Cath Kidston scrap book of recipes is full and about to burst and I have been constantly encouraged by my boyfriend, friends and family to start a blog. So here I am!
I work full time but I love to cook and love to read. A demanding job makes this difficult, but not impossible. My blog will give you the best recipes to enjoy over the weekend and easy but equally delicious recipes to enjoy during the working week. On top of this I will include book reviews and any other useful information for the working woman to still find time to enjoy.
