Smoked Mackerel Pâté

  • 400g smoked mackerel
  • 150g creme fraiche
  • 100g cream cheese
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tspn ground smoked paprika
  • 1 tbpsn olive oil
  • Small bunch parsley
  • 2 sticks celery (finely sliced)
  • Fresh bread (to serve)
  1. Peel the skin off the mackerel and discard. Add to a food processor. Add the rest of the ingredients (apart from the celery and bread) and whizz until you get a nice creamy pâté. Plate up into a serving bowl.
  2. Serve with the celery and some fresh bread. You can also griddle your bread to make toasts.
