This is perfect to have with any kind of curry and especially a hot curry. It is often served as a dip with pappadums, however is also great as a cooling accompaniment to a spicy curry. I always make this to go with my easy Curry.
Ingredients
1 cucumber
100ml joghurt
1 tspn of cumin and a bit for the garnish
paprika powder (a pinch to garnish)
fresh coriander (to serve)
juice of half a lemon
ground black pepper
- Cut a quarter of the cucumber and put to the side. With the rest of the cucumber peel away the skin and then peel the rest of the cucumber. Roughly chop it so that it is in smaller pieces. With the cucumber that you put to one side, chop into small chunks
- Add this to a bowl and pour in the joghurt
- Add the juice of half a lemon, ground black pepper and the cumin. Mix well
- Sprinkle with a pinch of cumin and a pinch of paprika powder
- Garnish with fresh coriander and place in the fridge until needed
